Whats the most efficient way of making a main menu screen?
Simplified question: I want to know whether using scene management to switch between each menu section(from menu to settings etc) will have an impact on performance and how much.
If its not much then i want to know if there something i can drag to a public variable to make it clickable.
Detailed question: I want to know about the most efficient way of making a main menu screen, i created a new scene separate from my basic game play scene.
Currently for the main menu screen i have all the buttons set up; the buttons include "Start Game", "Settings" and "Quit Game". The initial idea i had was to make a public variable where you drag some kind of hit-box of the buttons and then use the scene management take me to different sections of the menu. Now there is a few problem with this, firstly don't know if there is such thing as a hit-box unless rigidbody also work. Secondly, how much will this have an impact on performance because it will mean that every time i click a button i will load up another scene.
