every time i create something it gets deleted

every time i create something in the Project tab like a a folder or a physicsmaterial 2d it gets deleted and says

-Failed to create temporary cache directory 'Temp/ADB-Refresha2074b060a257d844a75bced122bad10' UnityEngine.GUIUtility:ProcessEvent (int,intptr,bool&)

-Assertion failed on expression: 'res == EAGAIN || !HasAbortingErrors()'

what should i do?

Does this happen in your other projects? $$anonymous$$aybe Unity is missing some files. If it happens in all your projects and new ones as well, try re-installing Unity, as some files are probably missing @pokemontalkx
