[Question] missingreferenceexception on script that isn't missing
Hi, I'm consistently getting a missingreferenceexception on a script that clearly isn't missing. I've even gone through the trouble of reimporting it and also done a refresh. I'm not really sure what to do at this point
Are you SURE you haven't attached the component on multiple gameObjects and forgot to setup one of them?
Type t:YOUR_CO$$anonymous$$PONENT_NA$$anonymous$$E
in the Hiearchy
's search bar to check which gameObject hold your component.
This can happen if there is an error in the script, and sometimes if there is an error elsewhere that affects it. Check your console to see if there are any errors that could be blocking the script.

Hi guys :-) Thank you so much for the quick response. I want you all to know that I managed to fix the problem. I have a new problem now but it is not of the same vein. Well, there wasn't necessarily anything wrong with the script, but there was a line in it that Unity could obey only under certain conditions. So I need to comment out that line whenever appropriate
