Vertex color alpha problem importing collada
It seems that alpha value of vertex color is always set to 1, no matter what is written in collada file. Is this a bug?

I just stumbled upon this. Yes it seems to be a bug. The file seems to contain the alpha properly, Unity just seems to ignore it.
Well, if that's the case, could you please setup the smallest possible demo project (just contain a collada file which has an alpha value on some vertices) and file a bug report inside Unity ("Help" -> "Report A Bug") and attach your demo project. Don't forget the description so they know what they should look for.
It would be great if you could export the same file as fbx and place them next to each other to see the difference.
I'm not an artist, i'm a programmer so i don't have a modelling tool available. However several times i thought about using collada files since the format is natively loaded by Unity. If this bug really exists we should get it fixed ^^
Thanks.
I did. (it's case 692454 ). Although I think Unity uses some Autodesk tech to import collada files so I'm not sure how much they can change.
@AcidArrow @Bunny83 any update on this? As of 5.3.5p8 imported collada meshes seem to not take into account vertex color alpha channel.
I don't know since i don't work with collada files ^^. So i haven't really reproduced this bug hence i haven't filed a bugreport.
