Question by smidlingPupin · Aug 19, 2014 at 01:52 PM · asset storeofflineproxy

Unity asset store is offline, unity itself is online!

So I have unity 4.5.3 on my machine.

Also I am using windows 8.1 and its own firewall and windows defender.

I have unity asset that needs internet access, called world composer. When I enable proxy I can access internet trough world composer, but not from asset store.

In addition, when I disable proxy as many people suggested, I cant access internet neither trough world compose nor asset store.

What is even more curious, my colleague can access asset store with disabled proxy on his own machine.

I have tried disabling windows defender and / or windows firewall but problem persists.

All I get is "you are currently offline" message and "Failure when receiving data from the peer url: https://kharma.unity3d.com/" in console window.

Please help!

It's generally user's firewalls. Try disabling it and accessing the asset store. http://unity3d.com/search?refinement=answers&gq=Unity%20asset%20store%20is%20offline
