Question by JaredHays · Jan 13, 2015 at 02:32 AM · textureisreadable

Texture "Read/Write Enabled" checkbox keeps resetting

I have a bunch of textures I want to flag as readable, but every time I check the "Read/Write Enabled" box and hit Apply, Unity resets the texture type from Advanced to Sprite, and if I change it back to Advanced the checkbox is empty. The meta file confirms that isReadable is not set. I tried setting isReadable directly in the importer settings during a custom import process, but that also didn't work. I'm pretty baffled at this point; any help would be appreciated.

Could you post a screenshot of the texture in the project folder and the inspector where you are changing it.

Where is your project folder located and what OS do u use? i had a similar issue when my projects were in an administation folder on windows moving them outside of this folder fixed it, Not entirely sure if this is the case for you but thought it worth mentioning.

Windows 7 Pro, project folder is on a completely separate drive from the OS (logical and physical). It's definitely not an ad$$anonymous$$ folder.
