Issue subscribing to event in managed DLL

Trying to subscribe to an event in a managed DLL

digitalSigs.Change += handle_Change;

Receive following error, and I don't understand what is meant by "non imported interfaces":

NotSupportedException: non imported interfaces on imported classes is not yet implemented. (wrapper cominterop) DIGSigs.SignalEvents_Event:add_Change (DIGSigs.SignalEvents_ChangeEventHandler) (wrapper cominterop-invoke) DIGSigs.SignalEvents_Event:add_Change (DIGSigs.SignalEvents_ChangeEventHandler) Signals.Start () (at Assets/Scripts/Signal/SignalControl/Signals.cs:114)

Any insight or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
