Is there a way to stream 360 youtube videos directly in Unity (or using other player) ?
I want to play videos or other VR content from my Unity application on Samsung Gear VR Is there a way to launch another VR compatible app from an Unity project (like youtube with a parameter for playing one specific video)? In my project I am displaying a list of articles but each of them is having a more detailed web content or 360 video URL link. I am using the Application.OpenURL method to load an URL in default browser, which should be VR compatible, but the application freezes with a black screen. As soon as I remove the VR headset, the unity project closes, and the browser is opened.
Note: the application targets mobile devices (iOS, Android and UWP with varius Headsets (Oculus VR, Google VR))
Is there a way to stream 360 youtube videos directly in Unity? A sphere with MovieTexture can be used to achieve this, but only for local assets. There seems to be no possibility to use an internet url, at least to an MP4 file.
