Using GPU Instancing to show gravitational fields in space or stresses on a mesh
I'm trying to do some simple science visualizations of gravitational fields in space. I'd like to have gpu particles at each coordinate in a 100 x100 x100 grid and be able to change their color, size, rotation depending on their distance and direction from the gravitational source. Would I use regular gpu mesh instances for this, or gpu mesh particles for this type of thing?
if I wanted to show the forces on each triangle of a mesh would I use gpu mesh instances, or gpu particles at the location of each triangle?
