Permanently Align View to Camera
Hello,
Is there a way to permanently align the view to the camera?
I'm working with an orthographic camera and I need the camera to be fixed at a certain angle.
I'm aware you can select the GameObject and then 'align view to selected' but when I exit play mode it's not aligned anymore? I don't know if that's just an issue with my project?
Thanks
Are you saying that you want the view in the scene to be aligned with the camera? I don't think I get what you're asking.
Are you aligning the view while it's already in play mode? If so, changes in play mode don't persist by default, so you should align it when it's not play mode.
1) Yes Caleb_1701 I want it in the scene view 2) Lazy Elephant I'm not aligning it whilst in play mode.
I first align it in the scene view (camera aligns properly) and then once I enter and exit play mode the camera is unaligned.
It's just time consu$$anonymous$$g to keep re-aligning the view to the camera every time I enter and exit play mode.
I think it might be an issue with my project because I don't think I had this problem in the past but I can't work out what might be causing it.
Sorry if I'm not making sense!
That seems unusual that the camera motion wouldn't revert after exiting play. If you want to try to brute force debug, you can create a new scene and start adding components until the problem arises again. Then, at least, you'll know where the problem is.
