Unity hub keeps forgetting versions

Unity hub frequently forgets the version. Rarely it remembers the version a project was built with, more commonly it thinks that a project was built with 2018.4.22f1 which I had never installed. I have to remember with which version a project was built with. I have to use 2019.3.6f1 as well.

Unity warns me that the project will be re-imported. It works, but it is a nuisance. When I erroneously pick a wrong versoin number, I am in trouble. For this reason I avoid to add any other version.

Has anyone met the same problem? Any suggestions?
