auto change script in published build
Hi there,
I have a item system in my game that involves 3 lists of custom classes,1list for melee wepons ,1 for projectile wepons, and 1 for utilities.
I want to be able to add too and tweak these lists ,then push those changes to builds of the game that have all ready been download by the user, I can think of a few was of doing this but all are undesirable for one reason or another.
1: I could set up a TON of remote settings ,this would be disorderly and inconvenient.
2: I could set up a script to read a Google drive spreadsheet ,this is confusing and hard to understand the code for (but is currently my best bet).
3: I could publish a new build every time I want to make a change and ask users to switch to the new version, this would lose all playerPerfs and would be annoying to the user.
So I want to know if I can host a c# script somewhere, and replace my item master script (the script that contains all lists classes and methods used for items) with the hosted script automatically in all ready published build when there is a new version.
Thanks in advance for any help.
