What is the best method to create a planet in Unity?
Just a large sphere with different types of terrain. Would it be through 3D perlin noise, using a cube and then spherifying it, or something else?
Also, is it possible to have features such as water, trees and textures also automatically generate. If so, how?

Thanks for the answer, and I will need that in the future, but at the moment I do not need that. I was referring to generating the planet with things such as mountainous terrain, hilly terrain, oceans, etc. I was thinking perlin noise maybe, and using the spherifying a cube with it?
