GUI - Texture Quality

Hi all , i have problem with standard Unity GUI elements (like : button , slider , toggle ...) I dont want them to change their resolution with other textures (QualitySettings.masterTextureLimit) . I know that disabling MipMap (cant change it for standard GUI elements) for texture would do that , but textures are jagged around corners / blurry. Another question is how to change background img for sliders , buttons ? I wanted to make something similar to standard slider background("1" on screenshot) but after importing it to unity it doesnt look the way i wanted to ("2" on screenshot , res 256x256) it looks stretched. Standard GUI elements can be resized any way and they always look the same. How to do that with imported textures? alt text

You have to set up a border for the image in the image file import inspector. This will exclude parts of the image from stretching when the UI element is stretched.
