Unity 5 Outline Shader overlap

Hello! I am using the "outline only" shader from the unity community wiki page on a 3DS Max Model. It's working well aside from when 2 polygons overlap. alt text I am wondering if anyone has any ideas how to deal with this? Can this be adjusted in the shader? Any hints in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!
