2d Sprite character - color change

Hello, I want to create two characters. One colored with red and second with blue. I' wondering what would be better: Creating two Gameobjects and changing their spriteRenderer Color (1-red, 2-blue)

or creating two PNG files : 1 colored with red in Photoshop or any other program, 2- colored with blue in PS? If I get it right two GameObjects with same spriterenderer but different color will not be batched so I would have additional draw calls?
