2d game, sprite artifacts when moving
I'm having an issue with a sprite (moving character), the thin black line (see screenshot) sporadically shows up while moving. It is always in the same place and only when moving left.
the line is not part of the image, the sprite is a 16x16 sprite with point filter mode and 64 pixels per unit (when changing pixels per unit to other values, 16/32/100/etc..) the lines appear somewhere else instead.
The line does NOT show up if using 4:3 or standalone (1024x768) aspect ratios.
Anyone know what could be causing this?
I know this was a long time ago, but did you ever solve this? I've been having the same issue with sprite line artifacts on the left edge of my sprites.

The line is actually part of your image, but it has leaked from an adjacent frame in your sprite board or the other side of the frame itself during rendering. No clue as to why this occurs but the fix is to have a 1 pixel border of padding for each frame on your sprite board. Then when splicing in Unity, just define your padding as X:1 and Y:1 and this will fix your issue.
