Animations in FBX file from Blender
Hi,
I have 2 fbx files I've exported from Blender. They sit in my project view, when I expand the icons they contain animations (triangles), materials and a strange block shape thing (armature) , and a mesh. Each has a mesh of my main character and some animations. The animation item in the project view that I imported contains idle animations, and the second running animations etc.
When I drag the animations (triangles) on to the scene view, and then on to the player icon in the hierarchy view, they all appear on the inspector tab when I select the first icon in the project view (the imported fbx file). The second icon in the project view (the other imported .fbx) - can I delete that ? Does unity realise these scenes are the same mesh ?
It looks like the first fbx icon I dragged on the scene hierarchy is the one that is loaded, and the animation from the second import is accessible (I can see it in the list of scenes in the inspector), but when I play it via a c# script the character disappears - the other animations work fine (the ones that came with the fbx that I put on the scene.
How do you use multiple fbx files, each with animations in them ? And what happens with all the replicated stuff in those imports ie materials, mesh etc ? I tried exporting without the mesh from blender, but the character doesnt even appear in the mini animation preview window.
Thanks
