"unity version unavailable" Tried reimporting to different version, game is now broken
I created a game meant to be turned in to my gaming and animation class. It was working fine the entire time I was working on it from 12/6 to 12/11. I had it saved and submitted on 12/11. My professor messages me today asking what version I built it on because he can't get it to properly open. When I go to open Unity Hub to see what version of Unity I built it on I get the error "unity version unavailable" and no version is selected. I tried importing it to 2020.3.18f1 and my game broke and the console gave me 300+ errors. I tried opening it on version 2019.4.30f1 and while more assets properly loaded I still got about 30+ errors on the console and my terrain and other functions were completely missing. Luckily I have the working version of the game project that I submitted saved in a zipped file. I can't find any answers on Google other than years ago a handful of people reporting the same issue and simply reporting it as a bug. Needless to say, I'm still probably going to get an F, and I am completely devastated.
Is there a way I can see what version of Unity I built the original project on? And why did I get this error and why is my game completely broken?
