How can I perfectly match different skeletons/ avatars to my original
Hello, I've been struggling with this issue for quite some time. I have a character model that I "auto-rigged" with Mixamo, and downloaded some "Melee / sword" animations with the character. These animations "just work".
Unfortunately, I couldn't get the gun animations I wanted from Mixamo, so I purchased MoCap Online's "Pistol Pro" , "Rifle Pro" & "Locomotion Pro".
The problem is that all 4 of these animation packs are using a different skeleton/ avatar definition. The animations "work" on my Mixamo character, but they are slightly off. For example, I attach a pistol to the characters right hand (parented). However, hand positions are slightly off. The "arm distance" doesn't match and the hands are separated, instead of both properly holding the pistol. I tried tweaking the angle of the bones. (still can't get them to match perfectly) I tried changing the angle of the arm and shoulder muscles (works, but still not perfect) I tried using hand IK position to keep the left hand matched up with the weapon (caused weird snapping and clipping issues)
Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to approach this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
