What is an effective way to make a world map, like in Breath of the Wild or Genshin Impact?
I am working on a open world type game and would like to make a map that starts blank and as you progress is filled in. What is an effective way to go about making this map without hand-drawing it?
I think I understand how to go about moving the character on the map and placing markers, I just don't know how to draw the map with code.
