Instance highlighting not working in Monodevelop 4

I'm trying to get the currently selected variable instance to show up with a highlight in the newest Monodevelop 4.0.1 with Unity 4.3. This worked in the previous version before I updated.

I've tried turning on Text Editor | Syntax Highlighting | Semantic Highlighting, but that didn't help. As well I found more bugs while trying to change colour schemes (bg colours won't get saved on the semantic variables, and importing styles with bold⁢alic fails).

Does anyone know any other way to get the variable under the cursor to highlight all instances? Or even an extra plugin that will do this?

Thanks.

This worked. I can't up vote it because I don't have enough reputation.

it highlights on the Taskbar, but does not flip you over to the Mono app. You have to Cool Switch or or click on the highlighted icon on the taskbar. ...thus why Mac is better?

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you're referring to. It almost sounds like your answer relates to switching to $$anonymous$$onodevelop, which wasn't my question at all. As well I am using a $$anonymous$$ac so I don't know why you would try to incite a platform war by saying one is better than the other because it's not obvious how that relates to the question at all.
