C4D R11.5 -Unity iPhone - Can I Use the animate Textures feature in Unity?
Hi I have imported an animated png sequence on to a plain in C4d which plays fine in C4d. When I drag into Unity iPhone it doesn't seem to recognise the animation sequence. I have even recorded a couple of keyframes on the plane in C4D and have added an "idle" Clip in Unity which covers the 3 keyframes. However it doesn't detect the idle sequence. Is Unity clever enough to realise there isn't really any animation there (except for the animated texture)? Can I use the animate texture facility from C4d into Unity or do I have to do it another way? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what "png sequence" si, but I don't think Unity supports it. I'm quite sure you can simulate it using scripts in Unity itself.
See what Unity supports from C4D: http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/Manual/HOWTO-ImportObjectCinema4D.html

Couple of things...
I believe you are going to need to use a compressed quicktime movie for best results (this is a pro only feature) Png files are relatively large. I don't have experience with Unity iPhone specifically, but if it supports Quicktime as textures that is the route I would go, and just create the plane in unity and apply the material all within the unity environment.
