about xr socket interactor to draw another components

I set a box which has xr socket interactor as connect part to other components .Every Components have boxes which has the same funtion.But when I hold the two componets and try to built up them, the xr socket interactor didn't work.

So I want to know that is the box which has xr socket interactor effective to his father object ? And if this way is not valid, is there any way can do the same thing?

some key word or how can I think about this .
