Hinge joint. Why does a tiny adjustment to the anchor move the anchor a huge amount?
I'm trying to apply a hinge joint to an existing CAD model brought in as FBX. The size of two components of the model to hook together with a hinge is about 1/3 of a meter or so. I attached a Hinge joint to one of them, and it put it close to where I want it, but not quite. I then try to move the X, Y and Z items for the Anchor, but a very tiny change in value results in a huge displacement onscreen.
For example, if change the anchor point from 0.5 in X to be 0.5001 in X, what I see on the screen is a motion of 10 millimeters or so. Much more than specified.
Why would that be? I did not change the import scale when I brought the FBX in, since it preserved its scale perfectly at 1:1. Likewise, I have not changed the scale of the object in the editor. So I would expect a change of 0.1 in X would move 0.1 distance on the screen.
What am I doing wrong?
