Need Suggestion : 2D Entering and leaving building
Hello I am working on an solo project right now, the game idea are something like harvestmoon/ animal corssing/ rune factory games, farming rpg type of game.
Right now i am working on housing, and I have a working warping in and out of the house. This is how it works :
When the player enter the building the world outside of the building itself blacken out, and when i leave the building the outer wall and roof will cover the building up,
I am wondering if there is any other better way to do this? because i am thinking that I will end up with alot of building and houses in the game, and maybe there is a better way dealing with many enterance like this. I trying to avoid using to load a new scene, but if many of you think it's better to do it this way, ii will consider it. ( I hate it because I need to bring the reload data every time i load up a new scene, including the data from FarmManager that handle the farm itself, and the NPC position)
Here list of some idea that I have thinked about :
Disable all object outside of the houses when entering, cover the building with roof and wall upon exiting.
inside of building located at an Isolated x,y position inside of the scene, so when the player enter the player will be teleported to the building and back to the enterance upon exit.
LoadScene() << if this the best way , please try to describe it a little why should I use it.
You name it !
Thats all for me this time ! Thanks for your time, sorry for my bad english, I am not a native.
