How to disable physics?
I don't need any physics, so how to disable it?
i didn't use any colliders and rigidbodies, but Physics.Simulate still cost time when viewed in Profile
If you don't use any colliders, rigidbodies or cloths, the time spent in Physics.Simulate should be insignificant.
So you want to completely disable the actual physics engine? Well, the physics engine is built-in and fully integrated into the game engine. Unless you have access to the source code, there's generally no way to do what you want to do. It might be possible to do it with some kind of intrusive plug-in, but I haven't heard of any forays into that area, since it's really kinda pointless. People usually want physics of some kind, and those who don't need it simply ignore it. Those who want to use a different physics engine and those who don't need physics in their game at all and require all resources used for physics to be freed usually just opt to use a different game engine.
Thank you for your reply! In my 2D game, I don't need physics, yes, unity is not the right engine to do that!
