Player Controlled Physics Car with Animation Override

Hello, I am Currently Working on a Project which requires that I take control of a vehicle for brief sections of Road to execute specific maneuvers when prompted. When im not asked to take control i need the car to Animate it's self to the next section.

I am using Edy's Vechicle Physics to Control My Car, and Physics Recorder to Gather The Necessary Animations. I am also working with Unity 5.4.3.

The Problem im having is with Switching from Animation to Player Control and Player Control back to Animation.

The Animator Seems to Lock The Car Down, Making it Immovable by Edy's Vehicle Physics so i am unable to do anything but call my animation and play it back.

Unfortunately I also have no ability to Pickup where the animation left off so to speak and give control back to the player.

Has anyone tried anything similar to this? what more information would you like to Receive from me to be able to help solve this issue?
