Is there a way to use or configure WebGL behaviour in Microsoft Internet Explorer 11?
I’ve been reading
http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/webgl-browsercompatibility.html
and have noticed that it says
“Unity WebGL supports all major desktop browsers to some degree (8)”
But there is no footnote 8.
Also, the browser compatibility matrix says that WebGL is supported on IE11, but footnote 7 says it isn’t, which is misleading.
I would like to know if it is possible to prevent the dialog box appearing in IE11 WebGL builds that directs the user to install Firefox, which is an inappropriate message for my client to see. Also, is there any setting either in IE or in Unity to allow WebGL builds to run in IE11? I wish I could encourage my client to install Microsoft Edge instead, as you recommend, but I cannot.

You can remove the warning by removing it from our loader JS yourself.
As footnote 7 says IE11 is really bad at WebGL (no audio at all, really slow JS engine, no asm.js support).
It can do some small projects but you really have to restrain yourself with features and content.
