1st person camera with 3rd person model?
So I plan to put together a small multiplayer game in unity. The game is 1st person, and so I started by using a 1st person camera. Due to it being multiplayer, I cannot just use arm rigs though, Im using a full human mesh. To give head bob, and place the camera roughly where it should be, the main camera in my scene is set to be attached to the head of my model. Currently when you rotate the camera left or right, the rig goes with it, as expected and desired. The issue comes, when you look up or down... and the rig goes wit it. Rotating around the center of where the mass started. Looking for a way around this issue. It would be nice if I could somehow make the head rotate with the camera on up and down but I expect to be at loss with that so if possible, is there a way to make only the camera rotate on the vertical rotations but rotate the mesh as a whole on the horizontal movements? Any help is much appreciated thank you!
