python for unity ubuntu

As I saw all versions for python for unity do not work with ubuntu is that true or not? if yes does IronPython work for mobile apps? I used psi, it worked on the PC but didn't work when I deployed it on mobile. Is using WebSockets the only solution for me or are there other simpler solutions?
