Vertical Bar showing distance travelled in metre.

Hello everyone! I am beginner and just started developing in Unity3d.

I am developing a game in which I have to calculate how much player has travelled the distance and show that on screen in metre with a vertical progress bar. I have googled but could not find an appropriate answer.
