Terrain trees are black in build

I am trying to make a pc build. Any nature material on tree prefab give same results. With baked navmesh all trees on terrain become black in the build.

Did not found out how black trees are connected to navmesh, though it happens when skybox is not assigned

You have any luck with this eventually? I'm running a newer version of Unity which is causing builds to create black trees. I've built it over a hundred times with all different sorts of settings. Just once it worked. I've been unable to redo it a second time.

I see that manually placing trees does not cause this error. Only does using the terrain tree route seem to create this mess. Any help is appreciated.

I am also having this problem. $$anonymous$$y builds normally work the first time I run them, but every time thereafter, all textures on the trees stored by the terrain appear black. Trees placed as game objects work fine.

I read somewhere that one person just went back a version of unity and the problem was solved. I suppose I'll do that at one point or wait for a fix.

Let me know if you figure anything out. I pretty much gave up on it for now.

Turns out my issue was similar to yours. Unity Default Skybox was causing the problem. In fact I couldn't even find it when I clicked on the source file in the lighting inspector. It just directs me the root of the game structure so does that mean it was deleted or missing? $$anonymous$$aybe, it's internal somewhere but the asset store ones look better anyways so that is good:)
