Where is the FPS Tutorial?
I'm am trying to make a bunch of weapons for a game. Don't know where to start, so I have been looking around the forums, looking for threads on creating shooting mechanisms, reloading, and switching weapons. A lot of people ask their questions regarding these things in terms of some Unity FPS tutorial they are taking, but I don't know what they are talking about. I've taken the project tutorials I could find. The Space Shooter, Roll A Ball, and Stealth (haven't gotten to the Survival one) but that list of projects says nothing about an FPS project. So what are they talking about, and where can I get ahold of it? Is it free, and is it a video series, or text? Thanks for your answers!
You could try this one, which goes through recreating the first level from Doom.
Have you tried googling "unity fps tutorial"? There's a bunch out there.
Looks pretty cool. I'll look into it. Yeah, there are a lot, but it seems like there was, at one time, a Unity sanctioned tutorial.
if u are a beginner i would recomend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-X-Ebh1kYA but instead of creating a model use an fps controller and create a spawn point parented to the camera you can get more and more advanced from there
