3d modelsmodelsvoxel
Recommended size of objects
I'm making a top down 3D RPG and I'm using Voxels. I'm using MagicaVoxel for the model creation. But they are too big when I import them to Unity. 1 Voxel equals a 40x40x40 cube in Unity. A normal character has about 40 voxels in height and a house about 120 voxels in height. That equals about 2000 and 5000 points in Unity. I usually scale them down with a factor of 0.3 but I think they factor needs to be far lower.
Is there any suggested points to meter/cm conversion? I read somewhere that 1 gravity is about 1kg. Maybe something like 1point equals 10cm.
What are the problems I might encounter if I use far too big objects? Physics engine, gravity, built in functions like "Rigidbody.AddExplosionForce", performance, light, etc.
