Whats the best way to create an UI made out of 3D models?
Im new to Unity and I want to create an UI similar to this:
Whats the best way to replace the buttons shown in the image with 3D models from i.e. Poly?
Later on, those models will be picture frames and the user should be able to:
load a raw-image into the frame from a previous scene
the frame + image must be loaded to the next scene
So i was think of creating prefabs out of the models from poly and add a raw-image child to them. Any advice?
Is there a reason you have decided to stay away from Image UI elements? It seems that this would be fine with the example you provided - allows users to change the image, the image would fit in your lvl boxes. Using ScreenCapture you are able to take screenshot that could be saved and loaded by your player/
thanks for your answer! Well, its an AR-App and the frame + picture will be augmented in the next scene. So it must be a prefab (i guess).
