Character Design: Am I headed in the right direction?
Hey everyone!
So I posted this over in the forum, but I figured I might as well post it here, too, since everyone is awesome when it comes to feedback. I made this character to submit to the asset store, and it was declined for being too simple, as well as based on some of my design choices. As such, I'm trying to remake it.
I'm going for a water dragon, human hybrid type deal. So far, I love the way the new one is coming out. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Sculpt looks alright - if not a little blobby in the legs, hips, torso and shoulders. But that really doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is the real-time, lower poly model. Show us some images of that model with wireframe, and texture sheets so we can provide some helpful feedback. Any feedback on a 75% complete sculpt is pretty useless.

This might come off as brutal, but you asked for opinions...
This would probably be rejected for being too simple also. The head is good, but that's about the only non-simple thing. I would definitely do something to the arms and the legs to make them stand out more, and once you do that I don't think you'll need to do anything else to the torso. It just looks... ehh... at this point. I would definitely not purchase this unless it had some more dragon-esque features like claws, wings, scaled hide or something.
As it is currently this -may- look alright for a third-person game where you never see this character's front, but aside from that I don't think it would stand out much in a sea of other models.
