How good is Unity's mouse support?
I know that Unity supposedly has raw input with GetAxisRaw(), but I've been doing some research and it seems that at least in some older versions there were a few issues. For example, if the cursor moved 5 left and then 4 right, it would be registered as 1 left instead of both inputs depending on the precision of Unity. I am not sure if these issues have been rectified or not, as my search through documentation has been unsuccessful, but I'd appreciate it if someone with more knowledge of the current Unity build had an answer...
Edit: Did some more research and it seems that the coarse polling rate issue isn't going to be relevant with modern hardware for a game like mine that will have a likely minimum of 60 fps.
If I want Quake Live-like arena FPS level mouse precision, is that a plausible goal in Unity 2020? No latency, no delay, no smoothing, completely raw, 100% perfectly raw mouse movement in game, can it be done?
