battle scripts

hi there i have a simple question its more of a is it possible question, is there a way to do it so i can get the speed value from gameobjects that have different names in total so far there is 3 game objects and thir main script has different names but the values are set and get i a base stat script would it be as simple as attaching the basestats script onto the objects and doing a find objects name for each object thn get component? or would that take to much usage

Very possible. Remember when using the find game object / get component, you only want to do it once, not every frame. Find the objects that are in your scene, get their components, then save the reference to that in the main script.
