Rig object offsets during animations

Hi Unity Community, I have a prefab that while animating is offset from its rig. If you look at the rig object in its prefab it has the correct value, its only when game is running and the object is animating that it does this.

Here are two screens one before and one after, you will be able to see in the second photo that the Z component changes from 0 in the first photo to 1 in the second photo. Is there any reason why it does this?

(this is the correct position of the rig on the object while its not moving, notice the object in the lower left corner of the screen)

(when undergoing animation it switches to this, notice how the z value increased by one... if you look at the imported FBX the rig is defaulted to z=1, but ive made another prefab off the same fbx import and it doesnt have this problem)

Any ideas? Thanks,
