Box or Circle Colliders - Topdown 2D
Hopefully one of the easier to answer questions.
I Have a pixel art maze of mostly simple blocks each with a Box collider. I have 1 player and many, many enemies who will be mindlessly pursuing once they see the Player. Often, this will involve them pressing against an intervening wall, gauntlet style......
Should I be using a circle collider instead of a box collider for the moving characters to avoid corners getting caught together? Should I keep the box colliders but ensure they stay in the same orientation all the time - everything stacks in tetris fashion? Would switching to circle colliders cause any major problems with detecting contact points, or objects squeezing past each other.
I just need to know what best practise is, and a rough idea of why - that's it.
Thanks in advance...
