Is there a way to make Unity terrain react and "dig" away from certain objects?
I had an idea to make deep holes in the terrain like if you were to edit the terrain with a brush and just remove/lower the terrain down, however I wanted to do this with objects, maybe even real time if that is possible.
Lets say I place down a 3d cube, and as soon as I lower it into the ground, contacts with the terrain, the terrain itself makes a hole in that place.
Not neccessarily asking people to do this for me, but more of is this possible in unity? Are there some papers or tutorials of people having successfully done this so I can understand and get an idea of what I'm maybe meant to do.
