literally can't code.

Question

I just started a project in the latest version of unity and created the first script. My computer is using visual studio 2017 for script editing and when i open the script for editing the field to view and edit it is missing so i can't code. Can someone tell me how to bring that window back or how to update visual studio if that's the problem.

Hi, had same problem yesterday myself!!! all i had to do was go to the "Package Manager" and update the packages in there. it will be the visual studio packages that need updating. also when first updated, i had to close the editor and restart, and when i first open up a script nothing will show, then leave visual studio open and go back to the unity editor and open another script. Then everything works as normal now.

click edit script while visual studio is open.
