VFX graph particles in sorting layer not sorting correctly
I'm making a 2D game and I sort sprites using sorting layers and their order in layer. If 2 sprites are in the same sorting layer and have the same order inside that layer, Unity uses z position to determine the draw order which is super useful.
Now I add a VFX graph with some particles. I add the Sorting Group component to the object that also has the Visual Effect component. The sorting group component lets me determine the draw order of the particles. But when the particles share the same layer and order in layer as any sprite, they will always render behind the sprites. How come sprites use the z coord to determine render order but particles won't?
Am I missing something in my setup?
