AudioClips cant be assigned after updating to 2020.3 fom 2019.4
Hello!
This is probably banal problem but I have just updated from unity 2019.4 to unity 2020.3 and my audio clips are now messed up. I have a SoundRegistry where I have registered all my AudioClips by dragging and dropping them to AudioClip field in unity. But now all sounds went missing from inspector AudioClips patterns and I am unable to drag and drop them back unity just will not let me, my cursor will change into x.
I suggest that unity 2020.3 is storing audio files differently than 2019.4 was...
What should I do to be able to assign audio clips by dragging and dropping audio files (.ogg .mp3) like before? Or how should be this problem solved in this new unity version?
Update:
Unity actually refuses to load sound files as unity assets, they are displayed as regular system sounds, also I am getting that strange not very specific error when importing
However, when I create new project it's fine and working...
Also when importing sounds I am getting this strange not very specific errors Pls, help! There must be some better option than just downgrading the project back to 2019.4 which is also not and varanity of success I am afraid of even bigger problems after upgrading and then downgrading back.

The amount of folk having severe problems when "updating" is incredible. Unless it is absolutely necessary to have the latest versions then why do it? Often there are no great advantages to be had. Just stress and mistakes. If the latest version/update of Unity is desired then begin again,,DO NOT try and import an older project. If you must, then this.. https://docs.unity3d.com/2021.1/Documentation/Manual/UpgradeGuide20211.html or other previous guides might help.
Point of me doing this was: I am experimenting with WebGl however i was not happy about results performance on bigger monitors when web page was maximized (bigger window = less fps). And according to this article, this might be at last improved in 2020.3 which, as they said, is using WebGL 2.0 (2019 had WebGl 1.0). https://forum.unity.com/threads/webgl-framerate-during-fullscreen.461705/

For everybody having the same problem in the future like me:
In my case removing "Library" folder in my unity project directory and restarting unity afterward solved my problem!
