Why does my override animation freeze into its first pose?
I'm using an animator layer to apply an upper body animation using a mask. When I set the layer weight to 1.0, the upper body animation starts, but does not continue - it just freezes into a pose, and stays there until I release it with a zero weight.
The animation I'm using for that is a looped action that runs normally with a five-second cycle when used as a complete body animation. The animation for the lower body also has a five-second looped cycle, and seems to work normally during the override.
This upper-body freeze occurs with any animation I use for it, so it seems to be a general problem with my understanding of how to use layers. But, as far as I can tell, I'm doing the same thing as I see in tutorials. What could I be missing?
