Why is unity grid not 1:1? how to fix this?

I noticed that in Unity 2020.1.3f1 when I look at the scene the grid is not square in 3D mode. This seems like a big problem when the transformation is based on it.

Here is an example of the issue. I created a game asset cube and you can clearly see it does not fit the grid.

How do I fix this?
