Animation : how to Interrupt an animation sometimes ?
I am making a prototype for a simple fighting game. Animations are key in those kinds of games and I'm not sure how to cancel an animation.
The idea is that the crouching and standing up animations (the ones that do the transition and not the idle ones) should be fully played unless something interrupt them.
For example if the player wants to jab during their wake up, the wake up animation should be canceled into the jab animation. If a player is going from crouch to stand up really fast, they should cancel each other because I don't want those animations to lock the player.
So how can I specify in the animation controller that I want only certain states to cancel those animations and not all states ?
Should I do that in the animation controller or should I do that in C# ? For now in C# I only update the animation parameters.
Thanks for the help
