ThirdPersonController strange movement

I stumble over the same problem again and again. When I use the Ethan ThirdPersonController and set its rotation to 0, 0, 0, and I run forward and then also left (both W and A keys are pressed), it keeps moving forward and doesn't turn left at all.

Does anybody see my mistake?
