Need some help getting wall-jumping working for 2D game - Been trying to google, but nothing has helped
Hello,
I've been trying now forever to get wall-jumping to feel good in my project. However, all solutions I've tried so far either snaps the player out (rather than "moving" them like normal jumping does) or don't push them outwards at all from the wall.
You can see my code here: https://pastebin.com/jT39uqY7
Preferably it should be that the player when jumping from a wall, they go outwards and upwards for a bit until they start falling down (just like it does when I do a normal jump of the ground). With the difference that I want to push the player away from the wall as well. For a bit I want to force them outwards, but then I would like to give them control back so they could start jumping in the opposite direction. If you have played Super Meat Boy, I'm looking almost that same kind of jump.
FYI: I'm not really doing this for building a commercial game, I'm just trying to learn some more scripting in Unity, but I got badly stuck on something like this. :(
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
